BOIGRAPHY OF SHAIKH AHMAD BADAWI
Born on the 29th day of July 1968 to Al-haj Al-hassan Al-Barika, one of the heirs to the throne of Imaamiyyah of the Central Mosque in Tamale. Ahmed Badawi attended NUREEYAH ARABIC SCHOOL By Sheikh Ibrahim Basha in Tamale and was among the few that memorized the Qur’an at an early age of seven.
He attended UNITED PRIMARY SCHOOL (popularly called KULIKULI SCHOOL) then also in Tamale after completing the memorization of the Qur’an.
Nuuriyah Arabic school became one of the first Arabic schools to introduce formal English tutoring into schools in Ghana and was readmitted to continue with formal education to primary six.
He Gained admission to Northern school of Business also in Tamale from 1978 to 1983. And also did his A’Levels at Ghana Secondary School from 1985 to 1987 after a stubborn youthful adventure to Nigeria which later shaped his life to whom he is today.
Gained scholarship admission into KING ABDUL AZIZ UNIVERSITY IN Saudi Arabia in 1989 of which he failed to complete due to circumstances beyond his control.
He came home and returned to Nigeria where he gained admission to study Pharmacy in Ahmad Bello University for a year and half and stopped midway again.
He started Teaching in Nigeria whilst at the same time working for a pharmaceutical company from where he gained so much knowledge in to drugs and medicine.
He started his own Business travelling to Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries to purchase Books for Knowledge hungry Nigerian Youth who always yearn for Islamic knowledge.
At the same time he set-up a library where various sects of Islam came to dialogue and read about other sects. This propelled him into deep research.
He came back home to Ghana to set-up his own pharmaceutical company and still engage in research and scholarly dialogues.
He is married with three children.
